Still Life Drawing for Beginners

Guided step-by-step, you’ll build confidence with pencil skills, learn how to observe like an artist, and create your own beautiful still life artwork.


Across five 3-hour sessions, you’ll explore:


  • Pencil techniques and mark making
  • Contour and gesture drawing
  • Shape, form and proportion
  • Light, shadow and tonal values
  • Texture, edges and composition



You’ll finish the course with a solid foundation in drawing, a completed still life piece, and the tools to continue developing your art with confidence.


All materials provided. No experience needed—just curiosity and an open mind!

Classes will be held at Clevedon Craft Centre, just a couple of minutes from J20 on the M5. Free parking on sight.
